Terms of Use for BooknTaste
These Terms of Use constitute the agreement between you (User) and the BooknTaste platform. By using our platform, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please refrain from using our services.
1. Description of Services
BooknTaste is a platform that allows users to:
• Reserve meals featuring local and Greek cuisine at selected restaurants.
• Prepay a percentage of the total meal value as a deposit.
• Receive a confirmation email with reservation details, which will serve as proof for settling the balance at the restaurant.
Partner restaurants are obligated to offer the menus described on the platform, except in cases where special modifications have been directly agreed upon with the customer.
2. Rights and Obligations of Users
Users:
• Are responsible for the accuracy of the information provided during the reservation process.
• Are required to show up at the restaurant on the predetermined day and time.
• Acknowledge that the deposit is non-refundable in case of a no-show, unless the cancellation terms are met.
• Settle the remaining amount for the meal directly at the restaurant on the day of the visit.
• May postpone their meal up to 2 hours before their arrival at the restaurant.
• Are obligated to be present at the restaurant with the exact number of persons for which the reservation was made.
• Have children up to 6 years of age dine for free, provided they are accompanied by an adult with a reservation. From age 6 and above, the meal is charged at full price. Restaurants reserve the right to verify the child’s age and apply their policy accordingly.
• Are responsible for reporting, via the BooknTaste platform, any additional information related to the meal—such as disabilities, intolerances, or food allergies—that the restaurant should be aware of before the customer’s arrival.
3. Rights and Obligations of Restaurants
Partner Restaurants:
• Must provide the meals in accordance with the predetermined menus and specifications agreed upon with the platform.
• Are responsible for any changes in the menus or the quality of service.
• Reserve the right to cancel reservations only for reasons of force majeure, with immediate notification to the user and the platform.
• Receive the remaining payment amount directly from the customer.
4. Cancellation Policy
• The User may cancel their reservation up to 48 hours before the scheduled time and receive credit for future use on the platform.
• For cancellations within 48 hours, the deposit is non-refundable.
• If the restaurant cancels the reservation, the User is entitled to a full refund of the deposit.
5. Payments
• The deposit is paid at the time of reservation and constitutes the platform’s commission.
• The remaining balance is settled directly at the restaurant upon the visit.
• The price of the meal is pre-agreed and includes exactly what is stated in the menu description on the BooknTaste platform. Any additional orders or changes requested by the customer during the meal are not covered by the reservation and must be paid directly at the restaurant by the customer, without any involvement from BooknTaste.
6. Limitation of Liability
• The BooknTaste platform is not responsible for the quality of the food or the services offered by the partner restaurants. The cooperation between the two parties is independent and non-binding.
• All information posted on BooknTaste, including menus, prices, and ingredients, is pre-agreed with the respective restaurant. BooknTaste bears no responsibility for any deviations from the agreed terms or for any non-compliance with the offer by the restaurant.
• In the event of disputes between the User and the Restaurant, the platform will provide mediation support, without any guarantee of resolution.
7. Data Protection
The protection of Users’ personal data is a priority for BooknTaste. All data is managed in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). For more details, please refer to our Privacy Policy.
8. Changes to the Terms of Use
BooknTaste reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Any changes will be posted on the platform, and continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the changes.
